In September 2018, Ralph and I left Australia to spend a year travelling through the UK and Europe. We advertised our house sitting services through an international website and had an amazing year away. Below are some of our reviews. We met some amazing people and fell in love with their dogs.

Ralph and Coralie were absolutely wonderful sitters! Lots of correspondence prior to ‘landing’ and then, very impressively, they visited twice before the house sit started so that our ‘girls’ could become familiar with them - very considerate and demonstrative of just how much they understand animals. Ralph and Coralie cared for our dogs like their own - taking them on lots of lovely long walks and even on a local (dog-friendly!) steam train! We came home to happy dogs, a house in perfect order and best of all, a special cake for our 11 year old daughter and a bottle of wine (complete with Koala bear!) for us... the perfect house sitters!

Ralph and Coralie were fantastic guests and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my first house sit listing! Their communication in advance of the listing was excellent - we had a skype call and kept in regular contact over the 6 months in advance of the house sit. I normally use a dog carer while I'm on holiday, but seeing how happy and relaxed my little dachshund Meika was when I returned, I highly recommend house sitting as an option. Ralph and Coralie took her in as part of the family and sent regular updates which gave us peace of mind while we were away. They took her on regular walks and made sure she was never left alone for extended periods of time during the day which was really appreciated. Even though its tempting to get out and about in London all day! They were excellent house guests, keeping the house clean and tidy and on my return, it was as if I'd never left. Even the bed was made up with fresh linen! Overall I was really pleased with the whole process, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ralph and Coralie as your next housesitters! You can be sure that they will look after your house and furry friend as if it were their own.

Ralph and Coralie are the ultimate house / pet sitters. Communication was excellent. They clearly love the furry friends that a caring for. It was a lovely touch to receive photos of Honey & Pudd visiting the canal centre at Stoke Bruerne. Pudd had a problem with his foot and he was rapidly whisked off to our vet. We were so appreciative of the love shown to Pudd & Honey. Our home was spotless on return. Even though we said there was no need to mow the lawn - they did! If you are fortunate enough to invite Ralph and Coralie to your home, to look after your furry friends - then don't hesitate. We would love them to return! A most amiable couple and I am just sorry they live 000s miles away as they are the sort of people whose friendship we would enjoy.

We feel very privileged to have had Ralph and Coralie to look after our precious dogs and home. Within minutes of meeting them Coralie was sitting on the floor playing with our dogs. We can honestly say that we enjoyed our holiday with complete peace of mind. We loved how when we arrived home, when the dogs gave us a very enthusiastic welcome home, Roger kept checking Uncle Ralph was still there. This gave us absolute reassurance that they really enjoyed their time with Ralph & Coralie. Even our neighbours commented on what a special couple they are. We would highly recommend Ralph & Coralie to look after your precious pets & home.

Ralph and Coralie were amazing sitters , we cam home to two very happy girls Cloe and Lucy, they didn't even no we had been away I'm sure. We had regular updates form Coralie whilst we were away with photos of the girls enjoying there self's. It was a shame for them that the Donegal weather didn't behave, as they did experience a lot a rain here which hopefully didn't dampen there visit here. Cleo and Lucy are very relaxed and we certainly we would recommend this couple a hundred percent we felt very safe and confident in leaving our two girls with them. We wish them all the best for the future travels before they arrive back home later this year, hopefully we will keep in touch and If they ever decide to travel in sunny Ireland LOL again we would defiantely want to book them up. xxx

Ralph and Coralie were wonderful sitters, they took excellent care of our girls and even took them on lots of trips and adventures! We were kept well up to date with regular pictures and updates of their outings so we knew they were in safe hands which helped us relax on holiday. Our home was well kept and very tidy and we really appreciated the lovely gesture of wine and card (and little koala on the beers in the fridge!). They are a fun loving couple and I would highly recommend them if you want reliable, experienced sitters to love your pets like their own. Thank you both, enjoy your travels and keep in touch:)

Coralie & Ralph we’re here at our house for 4 weeks in January 2019 and we were delighted when we got back to find our house had been very well looked after but more importantly our Tibet Terrier, Marley had had a terrific time. Walked regularly, brushed regularly and quite obviously didn’t miss us. We would recommend Coralie & Ralph.

Ralph and Coralie house sat and looked after our 2 dogs ( Milo and Pippin) while we were on holiday in Germany for 12 days from the 26th May until the 10th June 2019. From the moment they arrived at Splash Cottage we knew the dogs were in good hands and that the house would be looked after too. Ralph and Coralie are a lovely and friendly couple who clearly love dogs. We had no hesitation in feeling very happy leaving Milo and Pippin and Splash Cottage in their very capable hands. Ralph sent us regular updates on the dogs which is always reassuring. Also updates on village activities which they became part of. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Ralph and Coralie as dog and house sitters.

From the minute we had out first Skype with Ralph and Coralie we knew they were the people for us and our two dogs. When we then met them we knew our instincts were right! We and our dogs took to them instantly and we had no qualms whatsoever going off and leaving Socks and Beau in such capable hands. In fact when Ralph and Coralie left, the dogs were slightly depressed as they had so much love and attention. We got plenty of updates while we were away which put our minds at rest and when we got back our house was immaculate and dogs obviously well cared for. We would definitely recommend Ralph and Coralie, and just wished they lived closer as I know we would be firm friends.

They looked after Molly beautifully, and didn’t hesitate to take her to our vets when she got an upset stomach (which she is quite prone to). Molly even visited places locally which we have never been to with her - she has become something of an expert in local places of interest to visit! We also had regular updates while we away so we had peace of mind that Molly was ok. And on our return, Molly was obviously happy and contented in Ralph and Coralie’s company. Also, our house was beautifully clean and tidy when we arrived home and Ralph and Coralie had even left us a small gift to welcome us back. Ralph and Caroline were just great. They looked after the house, Jaffa our dog and 6 chickens with a lot of care and attention. They were great company and we can highly recommend them.

Ralph and Coralie house sat for us for 18 days in June 2019, looking after our three border collies, tropical fish and our home. We chose Ralph and Coralie because of their extensive experience with dogs, in particular their knowledge of the collie breed. One of our dogs is a rescue and is scared of other dogs, and one is afraid of strangers and this has to be managed. Ralph and Coralie were incredibly flexible prior to the sit, as we extended our holiday by 5 days and arrived at our home the day before we left, which was absolutely no issue to them at all, and we got our dogs settled before we left. We knew straight away that they would be amazing, both calm natured and gentle, and very aware of each dogs personality and traits and how to manage them. Leaving our dogs for such a long time was a difficult thing for us to do, yet within an hour of us being on the road to Heathrow airport I had received an email from Coralie with a picture of the doggies sharing her toast, and letting us know that they were fine, which was all I could have asked for. Our nervous dog Pepper took to them both within the day of them being at the house (Which is no mean feat) and became firm buddies with both Ralph and Coralie – if you’re in his gang then we know you’re good with dogs as he doesn’t like many people ☺ Our dogs had an amazing time with them, Coralie kept in touch with us regularly and sent us pictures, and even when one of our dogs (the youngest one) who had clearly been working on an escape plan out of our garden (which is pretty secure by most standards) went on a little adventure to visit next doors dog, Coralie let us know immediately and that Ralph had repaired the fence. I’m also a florist and we have an acre of land at home and Ralph looked after the garden impeccably for us while we were away - its quite a task watering all our flowers around the property but there were no issues at all and the garden was blooming when we came home. We came home to relaxed, fit, ‘ball chucking worn out’ border collies and a clean tidy house - I think they’ll miss R & C heaps and we would welcome them back anytime with open arms to our home and to dog sit for us if they ever wanted to.
